Updated over a week ago

Wellest now has more ingredients than ever, expanding to include common grocery and restaurant foods. We updated how food is displayed throughout the app and added a suite of new tools to search for, save, and use food in meals and recipes.

We also introduced a number of small improvements across the app based on the biggest daily execution pain points that you shared with us.

Check out the improvements in detail below and reach out to us via in-app chat to let us know what you think.

~ The Wellest Team

Notable Improvements

———

• Expanded food database to include more branded ingredients, common foods, and common restaurant foods

• Ability to search for foods with common phrasing, using dictation, or by scanning an image

• Ability to list what ingredients you have on hand and receive a recommendation of what to eat for a meal

• When searching, Ingredients and their nutrition information are now listed in common quantities

• Updated Ingredient display with photos, where available

• Updated ‘Custom Recipe’ creation and editing to include new features and workflow, emphasizing the difference between when the recipe is applied as an adaptive recipe with component ingredients or a uniform ingredient

• Ability to view all ‘Custom’ and ‘Favorite’ recipes when searching for recipes or viewing in ‘My Recipes’

• Ability to choose whether to apply custom recipes as a uniform ingredient or as an adaptive recipe, with automatically adjusted component ingredients

Additional Improvements

———

• Ability to use ingredients with known nutrition conflicts as part of your meal

• Improved search of ‘Custom’ and ‘Favorite’ ingredient lists

• Ability to see your recipes that can also be used as ingredients in the list of ‘Custom’ ingredients on ingredient search

• Ability to add a custom serving size to a custom recipe so you can specify a friendly name when applying a recipe as ingredient (eg. Slice of Lasagna)

• Ability to duplicate and edit an existing ingredient

• Indicator lines added to the ‘Schedule’ tile to aid in readability

• Secondary menu added to Ingredient Quantity to allow for quick access to all ingredient options

• Made the ‘Mark As’ button active when adding ‘Completed’ events so the standard workflow for completing an event can be followed

• Ability when turning off ‘Auto Recipe Recommendations’ to remove all unlocked recipes from incomplete meals on your plan

• Auto lock recipe lock when any modifications are made to a meal so that the Wellest AI does not accidentally overwrite changes if it believes a better recipe should be substituted

• Updated ingredient search experience that returns to searching after adding an ingredient instead of to the meal

• Ability to update event titles, regardless of ‘Mark As’ status

• Ability to see and update serving sizes for ingredients, regardless of ‘Mark As’ status

• Auto Recipe Recommendations now default to ‘Off’ so recipes are only suggested if requested

• Auto Plan Updates now default to ‘On’ so your plan is always kept up to date without prompting, unless otherwise requested

• Updated ‘Add’ menu on the ‘Planner’ to clarify the difference between ‘Planned’ and ‘Completed’ events

Fixes

———

• Fixed removed recurrent instances from appearing on the ‘Schedule’ tile

• Fixed the button covering the ingredient quantity editing field for some devices with small screens

• Fixed incorrect y-axis scale for nutrition graphs on ‘Look Ahead’ and ‘Look Back’ reports

• Fixed mismatched Look Back & Look Ahead expected change vs progress statements for some users
